Upwardly mobile

What is a reasonable price for a trailer home? Personally, I would have put it at somewhere between 5-10k. Truthfully, I don't have much idea, having never aspired to live in a trailer park. However, given current property prices, I may have to revisit that assumption.

This mobile home, advertized on craigslist, is going for $50,000. It is a sign of the times that the current owner suggests that this property could be the first step on the property owning ladder.

But where do we go from here with this crazy bubble? Will we have beggers selling their spots under the freeways as starter homes? Will they list their stolen supermarket trolleys as fixer-uppers?

Many thanks to Allen for sending this one. If you see any homeless people entering the market as sellers, don't be alarmed, it is where we are heading. Let me finish with one photo that somehow says it all for me. It is a picture of the kitchen in this trailer. Haven't you always dreamed of having a kitchen just like that.
